IDAES GRADUATE DAY 2026 AT THE UDC

IDAES Graduate Day 2026

The Inter-university Doctoral programme in Advanced English Studies: Linguistics, Literature and Culture, run by the Universities of A Coruña (UDC), Santiago de Compostela (USC) and Vigo (UVigo), invites you to attend and participate in IDAES Graduate Day 2026, which will be held at the University of A Coruña (Facultade de Filoloxía, Salón de Graos) on May 8th, 2026, 10am–7pm. IDAES Graduate Day 2026 will be a one-day in-personacademic event with the following activities:

10:00-10:15: Welcome

10:15-11:15: Lecture by Prof. Manuela Palacios González (University of Santiago): “Womanimal encounters in contemporay Irish poetry

11:15-12:15: Lecture by Prof. Jesús Laborda (University of Alcalá): “Publicaciones en revistas de impacto”

12:15-12:45: Break

12:45-14:15: Panel discussion: “A carreira universitaria” Dra. María Jesús Lorenzo Modia (UDC), Dr. José Carregal Romero (UVIGO), Dra. María Monaco (UDC), Dr. Luis Puente Castelo (UDC).

16:00-17:30: Presentation of doctoral candidates' research projects (Session 1)

17:30-18:00: Break

18.00-19.30: Presentation of doctoral candidates' research projects (Session 2)

19.30: Closing session

Registered students will be issued official attendance certificates. PhD students who present their research during the event will have 7 minutes for their presentation plus some minutes for questions and discussion, and they will also be issued official participation certificates.
